Mother’s Day Aurora taken at Larne Northern Ireland on 6 March 2016. One of the best displays in years.

PORTAVOGIE

This was a thoroughly enjoyable commission from Strangford Lough & Lecale Partnership. The images in this movie forms part of a larger body of work I took featuring Portavogie, Ardglass and Kilkeel on the rich Fishing Heritage of Co Down and producing a beautiful booklet showing the changes in the fishing industry over the decades to the present day. Portavogie prawns are globally famous and one of Co Down’s most highly prized exports.

TRIBUTE TO RESCUE 116

This is my personal tribute to the very brave helicopter crew members of Rescue 116 who lost their lives in a tragic accident in March 2017 off the west coast of Ireland.

Haulbowline lighthouse at the mouth of Carlingford Lough was lit up at 9.30pm on 11 Aug 2017 and will continue each night until 1st Sept 2017 in remembrance of their bravery for the many times they were involved in rescues in the area. A shinning light in the dark for many.

SPRING 2017

RECORD BREAKER!  Spring 2017 in Northern Ireland was the warmest spring in the UK’s official records dating back to 1910 according to the Met Office. Perfect conditions for photographing the amazing colours of this wonderful season.  I hope you enjoy my journey across Counties Down and Antrim as I searched out the many hidden treasures off the beaten track.

AUTUMN

Another one of my seasonal videos, this time Autumn. I had a wonderful time exploring the many forests and parks around the Counties of Down and Antrim in Northern Ireland over the past 2 years. I didnt want it to end....  Discovering and learning about the different types of fungi was challenging but fascinating. The one fungi that eluded me was the fairy tail mushroom - Fly Agaric. There is always next autumn...I'll be on its trail...

The places visited where - Tollymore Forest Park, Crawfordsburn Country Park, The Glens of Antrim waterfalls - Ess-na-Crub and Ess-na-Larach. Antrim Castle Gardens, Minnowburn and Lagan Towpath, Crumlin Glen, Ormeau Park Belfast, Gleno waterfall, Stormont grounds, Hillsborough Parish Church and Belvoir Forest.

VENUS AND MARS CONJUNCTION

These are pictures I took from 22 Dec 2016 -

13 Feb 2017 of the Moon, Venus and Mars over iconic sites in and around Belfast.

This is showing in the St Patrick Centre Downpatrick in the ‘Heavens Above’ exhibition

running until 31 March 2017 which I organized. It moves to the Carnegie Library Bangor for July 2017. The exhibition consists of 40 images taken by members of the Irish Astronomical Association based at Queens of which I am a member.

Kite surfing Northern Ireland.

I photographed these Kite Surfers at Ballyholme, Bangor, Northern Ireland at the mouth of Belfast Lough on 4 April 2018 on a very stormy day. 50mph gusts head on made it challenging to capture the drama and excitement being displayed by very skilled Kite Surfers. Oh, and it was raining too. Best viewed at 1080p HD.

The Belfast Christmas Continental Market

The Belfast Christmas Continental Market in Northern Ireland is back again in the heart of the city creating plenty of Christmas cheer and buzz. This video is just my personal view and I hope you like it. Please watch at 1080p HD on Youtube for best viewing.
